Hello Everyone and welcome!
I grew up in a family, in which music and travelling were part of the everyday life. From the early age of two I toured through numerous countries of this world together with my parents, always in a motor home, far away from any touristic destinations. Over the years, this way of life awarded me with a very open-minded, culturally diverse worldview.
After my graduation from the German highschool in Athens and a failed attempt to conclude my music studies due to unforeseen health issues, I spent a year studying English at the Californian University of La Verne, before finally moving back to Germany. Influenced by my globe-trotter like way of life, I took up studies of Cultural Anthropology at the university of Munich, and received my master degree in 2009. Studies of Business administration rounded off my course of education.
Since failing in the attempt of following a musical career, I had always been in search of finding an alternative to compensate this loss and my urge for artistic expression. Inspired by my parents’ photographic work, I began to spend more and more time on the art of photography, which soon turned out to be the long-awaited alternative I was seeking for.
After exploring all kinds of photographic areas over the years, it was the seemingly artless, ordinary and yet emotionally and culturally suffused environment of the everyday, that captivated me. Here I was finally able to directly implement my world view and ethical values into the process of photographing, and in this way convey my personal perception of reality to the viewer.
Last but not least I want to express my gratitude and say a big Thank You! to all of the beautiful people around the world that turned my photos into individual pieces of art.
Yours sincerely
